Russia and the EU should have closer relations

The president mentioned specifically as a partnership for modernization as an important dimension of our cooperation, “said the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after meeting in the Kremlin on Wednesday.
The Russian newspaper Kommersant wrote earlier in February that the EU has sent the Kremlin a document entitled Partnership for modernization, the Union offers Russia help in modernizing its economy. But the document, it is emphasized that such a modernization is impossible without democratic reforms.
Lavrov stated that Russia wants to set “concrete and practical significant” areas for cooperation in the center. He mentioned, among other things, finance, aion kinah, education, technology, innovation and management of such areas.
